UnityPoint Health® Finley Health Foundation Receives Grant from Variety – the Children’s Charity

Dubuque, IA— UnityPoint Health - Finley Health Foundation has received a $12,680 grant from Variety - the Children’s Charity to fund an isolette, for Finley Hospital's Family Birthing Suites.

Finley Hospital is a nonprofit organization serving the Tri-State area with a mission to improve the health of the people and the communities we serve.

The Variety grant will be used to assist in the funding of an infant incubator, or isolette. The dedicated medical staff in the Family Birthing Suites will utilize this equipment to care for preterm or sick newborns. The isolette provides a safe environment through proper control of heat and humidity, and decreased light and sound. Incubators simulate the environment a preterm infant is accustomed to while in utero.

Variety - the Children’s Charity is dedicated to improving the lives of underprivileged, at-risk and special needs children throughout Iowa.
