Shaun Rice, Operations Director at the Five Flags Center, will be traveling to Houston, Texas Tuesday, September 5th to assist with the efforts from Hurricane Harvey at NRG Park, a fellow SMG Managed Facility.
NRG Stadium, which is home to the Houston Texans NFL football team, has been activated as an emergency shelter for Hurricane Harvey. Shaun will assist with stadium operations, and will assist with the transition of the building from a shelter to 10,000 people, to getting prepared for the Jacksonville Jaguars vs Houston Texans game scheduled for Sunday, September 10 at NRG Stadium.
“Having lived in Texas, I felt the urge to help in any way I can,” Shaun states. “SMG has a great support network for all of their buildings, and I look forward to being a part of this process.”
