Patterson Comfort & Safety Ugly A/C Winner

Dubuque, IA -July 27, 2017

It came down to a 34-vote difference, but the winner has been decided.  The winner is Calais Baker, an employee at the Diamond Jo Casino.  As part of the Ugly A/C Contest, contestants were asked to “Like” the Patterson Comfort & Safety company page on Facebook, take a picture with their ugly A/C and vote.  The photo with the most Facebook “LIKES” at 11:59 p.m. on July 14, 2017 was determined the winner. 

Baker managed to secure 1,580 “LIKES” to make her the official winner over Chad Wilwert of Dubuque by 34 votes.  Baker’s new air conditioner is being installed today.

The contest drew 20 contestants but garnished more than 5,000 participants in the voting process.

The contest was a fun way to interact with the community while helping to build awareness towards the use of more cost effective and high efficiency air conditioners.   Participants were urged to have fun with the pictures and make them interesting to garnish votes.
