Cedar Rapids, Iowa – ImOn Communications announces they will be relocating their headquarters to the Peoples Bank building at 101 3rd Avenue SW beginning in Fall of 2018. The company will occupy the 3rd and 4th floors of the building.

ImOn’s headquarters is currently located in the Great America building on 1st Ave. SE. The move will occur in phases and will be completed by Spring 2019.  ImOn will relocate approximately 70 employees to the Kingston Village location by early 2019, and expects to be adding an additional 45 employees over the next five years.

“We’re thrilled to be one of the first large companies to move to the Kingston Village area,” says Patrice Carroll, CEO of ImOn Communications.  “Downtown doesn’t stop at the river.  Our employees enjoy working downtown, and with this move we can continue to offer them that experience while also contributing to the ongoing revitalization on the west side of the river in Kingston Village.”

ImOn considered several factors when selecting their new headquarters location, including room for future expansion, easy Interstate access, available parking, and the opportunity for employees to enjoy surrounding businesses during off-work hours.  The company was also looking for flexibility to incorporate some more innovative work and collaboration spaces.

“I’m so pleased we are able to meet ImOn’s workspace needs here in Kingston Village,” says Fred Timko Co-owner, along with Gary Rozek of the building.  “I’m confident this will be a great solution for both ImOn and the neighborhood – the building suits ImOn’s business needs, their employees will enjoy all Kingston Village has to offer, and the local businesses will benefit from the increased foot traffic.”

“The new location checks all the boxes,” adds Ms. Carroll.  “We’ll have the room to design some creative work spaces, plenty of free parking for our employees, future space to accommodate our growth plans, and all this in a central location where our employees will be surrounded by great restaurants, coffee shops, and other exciting new businesses.”

ImOn currently offers walk-in Customer Care service at the Great America building, where customers can pay their bill, return equipment, and get their questions answered.  This walk-in service will continue to be offered at the new location and will likely be the last department to move in Spring 2019.  ImOn customers will be notified well in advance of the move to minimize any inconvenience.

In addition to the headquarters location, ImOn has a warehouse facility in Cedar Rapids as well as office and warehouse space in Iowa City and Dubuque.
