Cedar Rapids, Iowa– ImOn Communications, a provider of Internet, phone services and Cable TV in Eastern Iowa, today announces they have completed the final piece of a nearly 500-mile fiber ring around Eastern Iowa. Completion of this ring enables ImOn to provide fully redundant services to its Dubuque metro distribution routes which began providing services in July of 2018. The route will connect to ImOn’s existing metro fiber routes.
“The redundancy provided by our fiber ring gives ImOn customers additional security and uptime,” says Justin Stinson, VP and General Manager of ImOn’s Dubuque market. “It also allows ImOn to continue to expand and provide more businesses in the Dubuque area with our high quality business communications solutions and superior customer service and support.”
In addition to the Eastern Iowa fiber ring, ImOn this year completed a connection to an Internet Exchange point in Minneapolis, MN, which will enhance service in Dubuque and all the communities ImOn serves.
