Finley Nursing Scholarships Awarded

Dubuque, IA— UnityPoint Health – Finley Health Foundation and the Finley School of Nursing Alumni Association are pleased to announce that a total of $19,000 is being awarded to area students who are pursuing a nursing degree in higher education for the 2019-2020 academic school year.

“We are thrilled to help provide the opportunity to advance the education of the next generation of nurses in our community,” stated Mary Peters, Chief Nursing Officer of UnityPoint Health – Finley Hospital.

Scholarship funding is provided by the Finley School of Nursing Alumni Association, the Edith Kritz Scholarship Endowment, the Dr. Peter Kearney Scholarship Endowment, the Colonel Fred and Ellen Phelps Scholarship Endowment, the Andrea Hayseltt-Trilk Memorial Scholarship, the Carole A. Smith-Miller Memorial Scholarship, the Edward Roy Bartels Legacy Scholarship, the Judi Butler Memorial Scholarship, Finley Hospital Auxiliary and the Kathryn Miller Scholarship. Since 2005, $197,500 has been granted in nursing scholarships to area students.
