Museum Adds Five New Directors to Governing Board

April 10, 2018 (DUBUQUE, IA) – The Dubuque Museum of Art (DuMA) is pleased to announce the appointment of five new directors to its Board of Trustees. Each director will serve a three-year term on the Board.

John B. Donovan retired from the Mercy Health Foundation in June 2017 after nine years as its inaugural executive director. Donovan previously oversaw Mercy Medical Center’s successful “Campaign for Healthy Hearts” as a fundraising consultant. Donovan holds BS and MS degrees from George Williams College and lends his time and talents to many community nonprofits, including the Julien Dubuque International Film (JDIFF), Dubuque Main Street, Dubuque Brewfest on Ice, the Dubuque Chorale and the Dubuque Rotary Club.

Emily Duehr, Ph.D., is the owner and Principal Industrial & Organizational Psychologist for Emily Duehr Consulting, LLC. Emily has experience directing projects for Fortune 100 and public sector organizations in selection, assessment, training, and leadership development. Her community involvement includes various commitments within Holy Family Schools and the Dubuque City Youth Ballet.

“General Bob” Felderman, retired U.S. Army Brigadier General, is a real estate broker and appraiser and an award-winning independent writer/photographer, whose work has appeared in local, state, national and international publications. Bob, along with his wife, Nancy, are avid travelers and supporters of many organizations in Dubuque. Felderman holds degrees from the University of Dubuque and the Defense University Washington, D.C. and is active as a public speaker.

Janice Roerig-Blong is Senior Director for McGraw-Hill Education, where she has worked in various capacities for over 30 years earning many industry and corporate honors. Roerig-Blong is also the founder of Studio Works and Gallery C in Dubuque. Roerig-Blong holds BFA and MBA degrees from Clarke University and has volunteered as board member of several organizations including the American Red Cross, Boy Scouts of America, and Voices Productions.

Jan Stoffel served as Arts and Cultural Affairs Coordinator for the City of Dubuque. She has spent twenty- five years in non-profit fundraising, marketing and public relations at Clarke University, Hillcrest Family Services and Mercy Medical Center. She was a founding member and past president of DuRide, former board and committee member of the Dubuque Symphony Orchestra and past president of the Alumni Association of Clarke University. She presently serves on the ChamberFest Committee of NISOM.

DuMA is located across from Washington Park in historic downtown Dubuque at 7th and Locust Streets. Museum hours are Tuesday–Friday 10:00 A.M.-5:00 P.M., Saturday & Sunday 1:00 P.M.-4:00 P.M. The museum is closed on Mondays. Daily admission rates are: $6 Adults, $5 Seniors, and $3 College/University Students.
