DUBUQUE – Local fan favorite Aaron Lewis will visit Five Flags Center on Sunday, February 20 as part of his ‘Frayed at Both Ends’ acoustic tour, the venue announced today. Lewis has played a handful of well-received shows in the Dubuque area in recent years, but the upcoming performance will mark his very first visit to Five Flags Center. Tickets for the intimate acoustic concert will go on sale Friday morning at 10:00 at the Five Flags Box Office and online via Ticketmaster and FiveFlagsCenter.com. Details of a special presale have already been shared members of the Five Flags Email Club.
Aaron Lewis grew up in Springfield, Vermont, listening to his grandparents’ country 8-tracks. Those roots inspired the multi-platinum Staind founder to return to his origins for the #1 Billboard Country Album debut ‘Town Line’ and ‘Sinner,’ as well as the Billboard’s Hot Country Song chart-topper “Am I The Only One,” which was only the 9th song to debut at #1 on that chart since its inception in 1958.
Having recorded with George Jones, Willie Nelson, Charlie Daniels, Alison Krauss, and Vince Gill, Lewis has put a traditionalist brand on his outlier country. ‘Frayed At Both Ends,’ due out January 28th, offers the hard-touring, multi-million selling workingman’s country star at his most personal and unplugged – making for an intimate record that will be reflected in his Frayed At Both Ends Acoustic Tour show.
