What is your current position, and where do you work?
I am the Director of Scheduling and Events at the University of Dubuque. I also work freelance social media and digital marketing for Dubuque Main Street.
What do you enjoy outside of work?
I love to travel, kayak, and camp. I enjoy attending different events, volunteering, and eating vegan food.
Tell us about your family.
I have a partner, stepchildren, one brother, one sister, two cats, and a big extended family!
What is one unique fact about you that many people may not know?
I have been to 46 states in the U.S., three continents, 15 countries, and 34 international cities!
Who is one person who inspires you, and why?
There are so many people who inspire me in my professional and personal life. One person who always has and continues to inspire me is my mom. She has taught me to be strong, especially in tough times. Your true strength will be tested. Never let anything get you down. She is one of the strongest people I know, and I strive to be as strong as she is. I am also inspired by my partner Josh. He inspires me to be better, to do more with my life, to follow my dreams, to be passionate, to do all those things you never planned on doing on your own. He teaches me about life by simply living his own.
Where is your favorite spot in Dubuque?
The Mississippi River because I love being near the water, and the Dubuque Farmers Market because it brings life to Dubuque and allows us to purchase a variety of local fresh food and locally crafted products!
What do you enjoy most about being a YP member?
What I most enjoy about YP are the connections and growth I have made and continue to make being a part of such a great organization.
What piece of advice would you give a new YP member?
Participate! Get involved and be a part of it so that you can get the most you want out of it.
