The Chamber's Business Advocacy Committee (BAC) is made up of a group of volunteer business leaders who are passionate about government, policy, and politics. Within the BAC, we reserve two seats for each of the various industries that the Chamber represents throughout the community, namely: Restaurants & Hospitality; Finance, Insurance, & Law; Manufacturing & Logistics; Construction & Building Trades; Healthcare; Small Business, Retail, and Business-to-consumer.
This group helps to craft our legislative agenda every year and helps to promote our priorities at every level of government. They often attend meetings on behalf of the whole membership and add the personal touch to our work. The BAC meets once a month, receives regular updates on key policy decisions, and provides timely feedback to staff to inform our advocacy efforts and ensure all our work is grounded in the needs of our members.
We accept applications for the BAC over spring and summer months and invite new members at the start of the fiscal year (July).
