YP Co-Director of Programs

What is your current position, and where do you work?
I am a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist at Cottingham & Butler

What do you enjoy outside of work?
I love to travel when I have the chance, there is just something so special about exploring somewhere new, meeting people from all over the world and obviously finding some new and exciting restaurants or coffee shops! I truly enjoy any chance I get to spend with my nephews, River & Reign, they light up my world! Farmers Market is one of my favorite places to be, I love the vibe, supporting local and learning the story about the various vendors. Last, but definitely not least, I cherish all the time I get to spend with friends or family.... especially while visiting one of our favorite restaurants, coffee shops, or simply over a glass of wine! Cheers!

Tell us about your family.
My family is all here in Dubuque, my parents, my brother Austin, sister-in-law Megan, and my two amazing nephews, River & Reign. As if that wasn't enough, my brother & I both work for the same employer as well! I also have two adorable pups, Koda & Tucker.

Who is one person who inspires you, and why?
My mom. My mom has always been an inspiration to me and helped guide me to where I am today. She is constantly my sounding board and pushing me to level up. I wouldn't be who I am today or where I am today if it wasn't for her!

Where is your favorite spot in Dubuque?
This is tough! I have so many! I would say Wicked Dame. I love the cozy atmosphere and of course the amazing wine selection. I wouldn't be being honest if I didn't mention Moracco and Pepper Sprout at the top of my list, too!

What do you enjoy most about being a YP member?
The people. I have met some of the most inspiring, talented, caring, and unique individuals throughout my time with YP. I have developed life long friendships with many people I was lucky enough to meet through this organization.

What piece of advice would you give a new YP member?
Branch out of your comfort zone. Meet someone new, sit at a new table, volunteer to get involved, take time to meet the speakers if there is that opportunity... Trust me, its worth it.
