What do you enjoy outside of work?
I enjoy hunting, fishing, watching the Minnesota Vikings and spending time with my family and friends, as well as my dog Rover.
Tell us about your family.
My parents grew up in rural Southern Minnesota as did I and I have one younger sibling Lindsey who currently is in her orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Iowa.
What is one unique fact about you that many people may not know?
My grandma's name was Helen Keller. She wasn't famous but my grandpa met her on a blind date.
Who is one person who inspires you, and why?
Grant Cardone, he is also in the real estate industry and overcame a variety of obstacles to become the success story he is today.
Where is your favorite spot in Dubuque?
My favorite spot in Dubuque is the Mines of Spain as I like to be outdoorsy and enjoy the different hiking trails they have.
What do you enjoy most about being a YP member?
I most enjoy meeting new people in the community and the wide variety of people from diverse industry backgrounds that I get to meet via the program.
What piece of advice would you give a new YP member?
My biggest piece of advice is to get involved and don't be afraid to take that extra coffee meeting or reach out to someone to learn something new. My entire career changed during one coffee meeting I scheduled via a cold email. I never thought I would work in the hotel industry, let alone own hotels.
