PLATTEVILLE, WI, May 21, 2020---- QueenB Radio stations Xtreme 107.1 WPVL-FM and 97.7 Country WGLR have been recognized by the Wisconsin Association Of Broadcasters, presenting the stations with a total of eleven WBA Awards of Excellence.
The WBA Awards Of Excellence gala, hosted by WBA President, CEO Michelle Vetterkind, and Awards Committee Chair, Hall Of Fame Broadcaster Lindsay Wood Davis, was held virtually today broadcasting from the organizations Madison, Wisconsin headquarters. Radio and Television broadcasters from across the State of Wisconsin submitted entries in multiple categories, competing for top honors.
Xtreme 107.1 WPVL brought home six awards, Best Live On-Site Broadcast Remote-Lilly-Kid’s Day At The Fair, Best Online Personality-Harsh Reality with Johnny Page, Best Humorous Commercial or Underwriting Announcement-Catfish Charlie’s Cajun 1, and two awards in the same category of Best Commercial or Underwriting Announcement – Grand Opera House-Terror At The Grand, and Cheryl’s Costume Closet. Xtreme 107.1 Facebook also won for Best Use Of Social Media.
97.7 Country WGLR brought home five awards, Best Use Of Audio (Non-News)-Interview With Santa 25th Anniversary, Best Public Service Announcement-SWTC Monster Bash, Best Website-WGLR.COM, Best Use Of Social Media- WGLR Facebook, Best Client Event Promo – Jordon Davis Concert.
