As a new client service manager, Matt Cloos looks forward to creating solutions for the Iowa clients of MSA Professional Services. He will be based at the firm’s Dubuque office.
“I like asking questions, listening, finding out someone’s problem, and then coming back to help solve that problem,” Cloos said.
Cloos opened his own branch of Edward Jones and worked as a financial advisor for four years, then became a sales executive at Cartegraph in Dubuque for five years, earning top sales honors. In that role, he sold software and services to municipal government. He helped officials manage asset infrastructure, including the location of assets, such as hydrants, designation of their condition, and recommendations for preventative maintenance. Cloos has also worked as an independent contractor.
What drew Cloos to MSA was the desire to work with governments to help them solve problems, such as improving infrastructure or providing clean water for citizens. He also appreciates that MSA is employee owned and services the Midwest.
As a client service manager, Cloos said, “I want to improve the quality of people’s lives and leave the environment better than how we found it.”
Cloos earned an AA Degree in Liberal Arts from Kirkwood Community College, Cedar Rapids, and a B.A. in Finance and Marketing from the University of Iowa, Iowa City.
MSA’s workforce of nearly 300 professionals consists of engineers, architects, planners, GIS specialists, and environmental scientists who serve public and private clients from 14 offices throughout the Upper Midwest. For more information, visit www.msa-ps.com.
