PREPARES FOR 21ST YEAR

Dubuque, Iowa— (November 10, 2022) — Magical Kwik Stop Christmas is officially kicking off its 21st year of helping families in Dubuque and the tri-state area for the holiday season on November 10th.
Over the last 20 years this community event has helped over 300 local families. “Magical Kwik Stop Christmas was the original foundation of our Kwik Care program. The idea began in 2002 with the simple mission of providing holiday joy to 10 local families in need of assistance during that season.” Heather Hamm, Kwik Care Community Liaison shared. “We are excited to be supporting 22 families this year, as we think 22 in ’22 has a fun ring to it. We strive to provide 10 gifts for each family member which can include anything from necessities, such as socks, to wish list items, such as a kids’ bicycle.” Kwik Care partners with Catholic Charities of Dubuque for the family outreach as well as local area businesses and vendors for support in purchasing gifts for the families.
Magical Kwik Stop Christmas is only part of Kwik Stop’s community giving. Since its inception in 2002, the Kwik Care program has since expanded to include donation canisters at all our c-store and restaurant locations with a commitment to service, support, and leadership as means to maintaining the strong, successful communities in which we work and reside. Through the program mission and support of the community, Kwik Care has raised over $2 million dollars for local non-profits and events within the tri-state communities.
