Dubuque, IA [March 4, 2026] — Dubuque Days of Caring is calling on community members to step forward and support local nonprofits during its annual day of service on
Friday, April 24, 2026.
Each year, this community-wide effort connects volunteers with one-day projects that help nonprofit organizations complete important work that might otherwise be delayed or go undone. From beautification projects to facility improvements, volunteers play a direct role in strengthening the organizations that serve Dubuque year-round.
The impact of last year’s event highlights what is possible when the community comes together. In 2025, more than 1,300 volunteers contributed over 5,400 hours of service, completing 68 projects for 45 local nonprofits. Projects ranged from landscaping and painting to window washing, light construction, lawn care, general cleaning, and even building a bridge!
Organizers are seeking individuals, workplace teams, and other groups who can give a few hours or a full day. Every volunteer effort helps local nonprofits focus more of their time and resources on the people and programs they serve.

By giving just one day, volunteers can help create lasting improvements for nonprofits across the Dubuque community.
