Daniel Winn co-anchors 'Today In Iowa' with Ally Crutcher, while Collin Dorsey anchors weekend evening newscasts

Eastern Iowans will have a new face to help them wake up as Daniel Winn teams with Ally Crutcher as an anchor on Today in Iowa. Collin Dorsey has also recently joined KWWL as the anchor of the weekend evening newscasts.

Winn adds KWWL to a list of Midwest television stations where he has worked as both anchor and field reporter, most recently St. Louis.

"The morning newscast is the first look at the world for many people each day,” said Winn. "I look forward to bringing that first look to Eastern Iowans every day with Ally. I'm also thrilled to be joining a team of veteran journalists at KWWL, a station that's been the center of the Eastern Iowa community for over 60 years.”

“Daniel has a great personality, a strong delivery and fits right in with the morning crew,” said Ally Crutcher, Today in Iowa co-anchor. “Our viewers are going to love him.”

When not behind an anchor desk, Daniel is busy running after his four-year-old daughter and her team of three Golden Retrievers, as well as just enjoying running and cycling.

“Daniel possesses a strong resume,” said Allison Gibson, KWWL News Director. He’s authentic and authoritative and has the journalistic integrity we value here. He will make our organization even stronger.”

Daniel graduated from McKendree College.

Dorsey, who hails from Du Quoin, Illinois, coms to the station most recently from Carterville, Illinois where he served as an anchor and reporter for WSIL-TV. Dorsey has also worked as News Director for WDQN-AM.

"It’s exciting for me to join KWWL," said Dorsey. "Their newly renovated building is beautiful, and I’m proud to be able to contribute and continue to their history of excellent coverage."

Collin likes to cook for friends in his spare time as well as camp and spend quality time outdoors.

“Collin is a solid journalist,” said Allison Gibson, KWWL News Director. “The news doesn’t stop on Friday, and with his reporting record, he will make an excellent anchor to lead our coverage on the weekends.”

Collin graduated from Southern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Arts in Electronic Journalism.
