Who?
I was born and raised in Dubuque I am a single mom to 3 adult children - Justin, Kevin and Keshauna. I have 5 wonderful grandchildren. I started my career in the Recorder’s Office in high school as a clerk, worked my way up to Deputy Recorder in 2009 and appointed Recorder in 2023.

Why?
I have over 30 years experience in the Recorder’s Office. I am fully knowledgeable of all aspects of the office. I am well acclimated with policies and procedures. I take my job as a public servant serious, this is alot more than a job to me it is a trust of the citizens of Dubuque County to properly handle your records.

What?
I plan to prioritize the reduction of taxes as much as possible for both workers and businesses. Reducing taxes attracts workers to the state since they are able to keep more of the money they earn, which increases spending. Lower taxes on businesses allows more reinvestment into the business. Both encourage economic growth. I also want to reduce regulations to make it easier for businesses operate in Iowa. We want our state to be a place where businesses and innovation are allowed to thrive.

Providing excellent customer service is a high priority to me, as most of our time is spent interacting with the public. I am a hands on working Recorder, being able to step into the roles of my staff when necessary is important to me. Continuing the legacy of preserving records, keeping access to records local so the public can come into the office and leave with the document in hand or go online to gather land records, accurate and efficient record keeping these are all important priorities to maintain excellent workflow in the office.
