A quaint century family farm with a baseball diamond carved into its heart. The Academy Award nominated movie (Field of Dreams) was filmed here in the summer of 1988. There are no organized activities on the field.




FOUR MOUNDS INN & CONFERENCE CENTER

The main mission/craftsman style home built in 1908 serves as a Conference Center/Inn hosting small groups and overnight guests. A private cabin is also available for rent with a view of the river. This 60 acre site is the sole remaining intact gentleman’s farm in Iowa, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and is a Silos & Smokestacks National Heritage Area Affiliate.

The Roe Nature Preserve features 244 acres of bluff lands, lowlands, forest, and prairies. It is located several miles south of Cassville along the Mississippi. This preserve is a wonder symbol of the region's cultural heritage with a large bird-shapped effigy mound near the top of the bluff overlooking the river. The Roe Preserve is open to the public.
