Business After School
Today's Students, Tomorrow's Workforce.
Over 70 students participated – it is no secret that workforce development is critical issue to our future economic success. Workforce development has become the number one factor in business recruitment and retention in the Dubuque area.
Business After School consisted of industry open-houses hosted for 8th-12th grade students and their parents. These open-houses provided real-life business/career experiential learning opportunities. Partners on this project included the Dubuque Community School District, East Central Intergovernmental Association, Northeast Iowa Community College, and Dubuque Area Labor Management.
