A team based physical activity and weight loss program designed to help you achieve your health and wellness goals.
WHO: All SDHD employees and their families (18 years & older) are encouraged to participate.
WHEN: January 25—April 1, 2016
COST: $20 per person if register by Jan 8th, but not later than Jan 15th). Participants receive the following from Live Healthy Iowa:
- Live Healthy Iowa t-shirt, unlimited access to the Live Healthy Iowa website, including updated Personal Tracking, goal-setting, tools and resources.
- Weekly motivation emails containing healthy tips and recipes
- Chance to win team incentives such as gift cards
- Chance to win individual prizes
- One year subscription to a lifestyle magazine of your choice
- Healthy U will be holding a few drawing for a $5 gift card for all individuals who report on time.
WHAT: Choose to participate in the Minutes of Activity Division, the Weight Loss Division or both divisions. Then based on your teams division, you will self-report your weight and/or minutes of activity by logging into your personal dashboard on the LHI website.
Teams consist of 2—10 individuals which will be assigned to you after registration.
Which Division Should I Participate In?
- Choose the Weight Loss Only division if you only want to monitor and report weight and don’t want to increase physical activity.
- Choose Physical Activity Only division if you want to maintain or increase your level of activity and are not interested in losing weight.
- Choose Both divisions if you want to lose weight and be more active.
Other Opportunities
- Need a little extra accountability? Weigh-in at beginning, midpoint, and at the end of the program with a Healthy U Team member.
- Want to track your change? Body fat and flexibility measurements can also be taken by a Healthy U team member at the end of the program. If you did not get them taken at the December screening event, a Healthy U team member can do a pre-assessment.
