Want your business to have a bigger presence during the holiday shopping season?

Join the Chamber’s Keep it Home for the Holidays campaign and make sure holiday shopping dollars stay in Dubuque!
For every $100 spent at a locally owned business, $68 will stay in the community.

What is Keep it Home for the Holidays?

The Keep it Home for the Holidays campaign is a multi-media advertising campaign designed to bring traffic to your storefront during the busiest shopping season of the year! It's also meant to bring awareness and educate our community on the importance of keeping shopping dollars in Dubuque during the holidays and year-round. Along with the advertising, each participating business will be given a box and entry forms for shoppers to sign up for giveaways of gift certificates and prize packages from participating businesses.

When and how is your business promoted?

The campaign begins at the end of November on Small Business Saturday. Prior to that, the Chamber will begin to raise awareness in the community about the importance of buying locally via print, radio, online and other mediums.

On November 25, the Keep it Home for the Holidays campaign will kick off and your business will be featured in the following:

  • Radio Commercials on Townsquare Media, Queen B Radio, and Radio Dubuque
  • Multiple full color advertisements in the Telegraph Herald
  • Right rail ad on the Chamber website during the duration of Keep it Home for the Holidays
  • Your ad/promotion will be included on a special Keep it Home for the Holidays page of the Chamber website
  • Your business featured on Chamber social media
  • Your business featured in a special Keep It Home for the Holidays Cyber Monday feature on the Chamber website, E-blast and social media

Participants receive over $5,000 in advertising AND by participating in this campaign you have access to promotions from area advertisers that are not available anywhere else!

How does the drawing work?

Participating businesses will donate a raffle prize valued at $50. Shoppers will be eligible to enter their name in a drawing at your store. The Chamber will provide a raffle box and entry forms at each business for shoppers to sign up for the drawing.

The Chamber will send a representative to pick up each of the boxes with the entries at the end of the campaign and we will draw a winner who will receive the gift certificates provided by the participating businesses.
