Our Tri-state region is fortunate to have numerous health care resources available for both emergency and non-emergency care. Two hospitals, Mercy Medical Center and The Finley Hospital, offer excellent round-the-clock care for patients and their families.

Additionally, there are three main physician’s groups: Medical Associates Clinic and Health Plans, Dubuque Internal Medicine and The Tri-State Independent Physician’s Association. They provide a broad range of primary care and surgical specialties.

Clearing the Air

Officials of Medical Associates, Mercy Medical Center-Dubuque & Dyersville, Dubuque Internal Medicine, Tri-State Independent Physicians Association, and The Finley Hospital have announced a joint initiative which commits their organizations to become tobacco-free beginning August 1. Through this effort, themed "Clearing the Air-For the Health of Our Community," these medical facilities will lead the way to better health for our community.

As Dubuque's leading medical organizations, they are committed to preserving the health of the Tri-State area by advocating a tobacco-free environment, and encourage other businesses to consider implementing a tobacco-free initiative.
