The Dubuque City Youth Ballet present Shakespeare's classic love story. Titania and Oberon, Queen and King of the Enchanted Forest, are quarreling. Oberon charges his favorite Fairy, Puck, to dot Titania’s eyes while she sleeps with the magic flower so when she wakens, she will love the first she sees, which will be Oberon. Hermia, Lysander, Demetrius and Helena all enter the forest looking for love. However, Puck makes mischief, and all goes awry! Titania opens her eyes to a village actor who has stumbled into the forest with a donkey’s head stuck on his. Puck has mistaken Lysander for Demetrius, and Lysander opens his eyes to adore Helena. Oberon orders a deep fog to cover the forest as he un-muddles the mischief of Puck. When the fog lifts, all is set right.

Actress Anita Gutschick reaches back across the ages to vividly portray biblical women. Through a series of monologues, these women recount their personal stories, shedding light on their lives in a dramatic and engaging way. Anita’s love of theater and quest for spiritual growth spawned her interest in liturgical drama.
Two performances at 1:30 and 7:00 p.m. Dinner and show: $25, dinner begins promptly at noon and 5:45 p.m. (Reservations required by March 17.)
