Budweiser Clydesdales

Come and see the world famous Budweiser Clydesdale horses! Since 1933, these beautiful creatures have been a symbol of Anheuser-Busch and Budweiser. These horses stand nearly 6 feet, or 18 hands, high at their shoulders and weigh approximately 2,000 pounds. To be considered for the Budweiser Clydesdale team, the horse must meet strict requirements, which include being bay in color, white coloring in the face as well as the feathering on all four legs, a black tail and mane, and it must be a gelding. These horses must all be very gentle because of the amount of people they meet each year. Turn-of-the-century beer wagons have been meticulously restored and are kept in excellent shape. A wagon also accompanies the Clydesdales as well as a Dalmatian Dog. You have the chance to see, touch, and be photographed with these "gentle giants" at this year's America's River Festival.
